Interested in Supporting the Canada Winter Games?

Our City Council has not yet decided about possibly hosting the Canada Winter Games.  Our Club encourages you to let your voice be heard if you’re interested in supporting the Games.  There are several public events this week to find out more information and show your support!  Please see the below press release from the City:

CANADA WINTER GAMES WORKING COMMITTEE
PUBLC PRESENTATION & OPEN HOUSES
YELLOWKNIFE, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES  |  JANUARY 18, 2016

The Canada Winter Games (CWG) Working Committee extends an invitation to the public and media to discuss the Working Committee Report. The CWG Working Committee was established by Yellowknife City Council in February, 2015.  The Committee has a mandate to review all pertinent information and reports generated from past Games; identify key strengths; areas of concerns and solutions; host community meetings to disseminate information and provide Council with a synopsis of the Committee’s findings.  All feedback will be included in the report to Yellowknife City Council in February.

Please join the Canada Winter Games Committee at one or more of our public events:

1.       Thursday, January 28 from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Explorer Hotel
Breakfast and Presentation of CWG Task Group Report
Formal presentation followed by an Open House
Free to attend. RSVP requested.

Members of the committee will be in attendance. Copies of the Task Group Report will be available. Poster boards summarizing the Report will also be displayed.
